Kelly Knoop’s dedication

With her 2009 donations totaling $5,209.24, longtime Crusade supporter Kelly Knoop hit a milestone. On Saturday night June 6, during the 56th annual WHAS Crusade for Children variety show, Kelly was presented a plaque honoring her commitment to the Crusade. She had reached a giving level of more than $100,000.

The plaque was presented to Kelly and her family by Crusade CEO Dawn Lee, former Crusade Executive Director Dan Miller and broadcast legend Milton Metz. Custom made by FastSigns on Fern Valley Road, the crystal clear engraved plaque is encased in a special velour lined box emblazoned with the Crusasde logo on its cover.
The plaque reads:

Crusade Hero
presented to
Kelly Knoop
In recognition of
and gratitude for
donations totaling
$100,000
to the WHAS
Crusade for Children

Kelly’s enduring dedication,
exceptional courage and
generous heart provide an
inspiration to us all!

Kelly with her father George always at her side collect donations outside retail stores and going door-to-door in their neighborhood. Thank you Kelly, George and the Knoop family.

Kelly, I just came across this article honoring your great achievement for the Crusade for Children!
I was looking for Karlene on Facebook and my search result included a post from her on the WHAS blog/website! Kelly, your perseverance, dedication, and generosity demonstrate God’s kind of Love– thinking of others more than yourself. I am always eager to tell others about your work for the Crusade! You have inspired me again today… Your parents and sisters are a great encouragement to me, also! I love you all.

    Your cousin,
