JCPS Bus Road-E-O wrangles cash for Crusade
Move over postal workers. A little rain didn’t dampen the spirits of school bus drivers who hit the pavement for the WHAS Crusade for Children.
The umbrellas were out in full force for Jefferson County Public Schools annual “Bus Road-E-O.” Twenty-five drivers highlighted the skills event which raises big bucks for the Crusade for Children.
“Not the best of days but neither rain, sleet…it kind of goes with how the school year’s been. Rain, ice, snow, wind. Everybody’s in a good mood today. So we’re enjoying the day,” said Rick Caple of JCPS.
The top drivers from today will move on to the Regional Bus Road-E-O. They expect raise at least $30,000 with this one day event.
The 56th annual WHAS WHAS Crusade for Children is coming up this weekend.
