Building 91 at the United States Census Bureau in Jeffersonville, Indiana became Santa’s workshop. Bureau employees kicked off an early holiday shopping spree with their annual auction for the WHAS Crusade for Children.
23 straight years!
For the 23nd straight year employees at the Census Bureau put together baskets, trees, you name it and then held an auction to get an early jump on the season of giving with a night of caring.
“Every penny goes back…”
Census employee Paul Dean said, “We collect for the Crusade because the Crusade is one of the local charities that every dollar – every penny goes back to the community that it comes from.”
With the total from this year’s auction the Crusaders from the Census Bureau expect to bring their grand total to well over $170,000 and counting.
The proof is in the pics
Here are the photos of the big night! Thanks Census staff.
