2010 UofL Cares Campaign kicks off
The University of Louisville campus was certainly a busy place Monday afternoon (October 18, 2010). The Natural Sciences lawn hosted the kick off of the UofL Cares Campaign.
The Cardinal balloon dominated a lunchtime event which was designed to give faculty and staff information about their choices for payroll deductions. The UofL Cares Campaign is an on-going effort to give back to the community.
Dwight Dozier, chair of the UofL Cares Campaign said, “Our faculty and staff take pride in volunteering and giving back to the community and being a part of the Louisville Metro area and providing support to this community.”
Last year’s campaign raised $390,000 dollars for six local charities including the WHAS Crusade for children. The goal this year is $400,000.
