Nashville goes to Bowling Green for Crusade

Fans of country music packed Chaney’s Dairy Barn in Bowling Green to hear a trio of Nashville songwriters and to raise money for the WHAS Crusade for Children. WBKO-TV’s Chris Allen hosted the event which featured songwriters Daniel Modlin, Jeff Pearson and Pat Haney. Crusade CEO Dawn Lee was on hand to welcome music lovers and to introduce children from Lincoln Elementary who are benefitting from Crusade grants.

One of those children in Ms. Hatfield’s class actually was brave enough to perform for the crowd. Bailey Allen stood before the microphone and offered her version of Hannah Montana’s “The Best of Both World’s”. Bailey received an ovation for her efforts. With the help of songwriter Daniel Modlin and the generosity of the Chaney family this inaugural event for the Crusade raised several hundred dollars which will continue to help children with special needs in the Bowling Green area.
