Marlins host a fun-fundraiser!
Mention biscuits and apple butter or fried chicken and mashed potatoes and most of us say “I’m there!” Sunday, August 19 lots of hungry folks packed Barn 1 at the Joe Huber Family Farm for the food, the entertainment and a great cause.
A packed house watched and listened as The Marlins kicked off the third annual Joe Huber Memorial Concert. This fundraiser for the WHAS Crusade for Children has become a tradition for Huber’s and The Marlins.
Gary Marlin of The Marlins said, “The Crusade for Children is such a tradition in our area we’re just very glad to be a part of it. Also it helps the kids in our local area. We’re just glad to raise a little money and have some fun..”
The third annual Joe Huber Memorial Concert raised more that $6,100 for children with special needs.
