First Savings Big Check

The WHAS Crusade for Children just received a belated holiday gift of $2,417.53 from the First Savings Bank group in southern Indiana.

This past holiday season the bank gave customers a unique option. Instead of receiving a traditional gift of a tin of cookies or something similar the bank chose to make the money that would be spent on those gifts available to charity. Bank customers received a special holiday card with the option to designate one of four charities to which the bank would make a donation.

The WHAS Crusade for Children was one of those four charities. January 30th, Crusade CEO Dawn Lee accepted a check for of $2,417.53 from bank President and CEO Larry Myers. Myers says that, “The charity program was such a hit with customers that First Savings Bank will be doing it again next holiday season.”
