Providence High School penny war raises thousands

Compassion + Generosity + Friendly Competition = $3021.21 for children with special needs. Students at Providence High School raised thousands for the WHAS Crusade for Children in their annual Penny War.

The Junior class raised the most money in the school’s Penny War this year. One student even donated her entire paycheck.

Crusade kids were the real winners. 100% of all donations to the WHAS Crusade for Children are granted to hospitals, schools and agencies in Kentucky and southern Indiana that provide direct services for children with special needs.

Fastsigns honored for helping Crusade

Congratulations to the WHAS Crusade for Children’s long-time partner Fastsigns for winning “Show Us How You Care” International Franchise Award and then donating the $500 winnings to the Crusade.

The Crusade gives great thanks to owners Susan and Sam Cilone for their endless support that started 22 years ago. The first banner they made as a company was for the Crusade and it read “Thank you firefighters!”

Whenever a banner, trophy, plaque or help of any kind is needed, they are always there.
