The WHAS Crusade for Children Telethon
The WHAS Crusade for Children telethon is the culmination of a year-long community effort to raise funds for children with identified health and developmental challenges across Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Since 1954, it has grown into America’s most successful local telethon, raising hundreds of millions of dollars with 100% of donations going directly to grants that support hospitals, schools, and agencies.
Driven by grassroots support, firefighters and local communities lead fundraisers for months, giving people the chance to be a hero and change a child’s life. The telethon brings it all together, uniting the region to celebrate the impact and reveal the final total for kids.
